Terms of Use

Orienteering PE · Last updated: September 10, 2026

Orienteering PE helps teachers organise orienteering sessions and cycles, manage students and groups, record results, create leaderboards, and consult statistics.

1. Acceptance

Installing or using the app means that you fully accept these Terms of Use. If you do not accept them, you must not use the app.

2. Purpose of the app

Orienteering PE is designed for educational, sports, and organisational use, especially in PE. It supports an orienteering cycle from start to finish, class organisation, live session management in the field, and the creation of teaching summaries.

3. Assessments and user responsibility

The user remains solely responsible for the accuracy of data entered or imported, the organisation of sessions, and the interpretation of the results, leaderboards, competency-based or graded assessments, and statistics displayed by the app.

Important: data and statistics are tracking aids and do not replace a teacher’s professional judgment. Verify any data used for an assessment, review, leaderboard, or important decision.

4. Data and privacy

No account or mandatory connection is required. First names, surnames, groups or classes, attendance, course results, leaderboards, competencies, grades, statistics, session history, and exports that may be saved are kept locally on the device, except when the user deliberately shares them or when the operating system applies its own backup mechanism.

The app does not include advertising tracking and does not automatically send this data to the publisher or third parties. Users remain responsible for the security of their device, backups, exports, and any information they enter, retain, or share.

5. Imports, exports and permitted use

The app may offer CSV or Pronote-compatible imports, together with CSV, PDF, or sharing exports. Users are responsible for checking, distributing, and protecting exported data.

The app must be used lawfully and for its intended purpose. Users must not attempt to disrupt its operation, bypass its protections, extract its code, or use it in a way that infringes third-party rights.

6. Availability and limitations

The publisher uses reasonable efforts to keep the app operating correctly but does not guarantee that it will be entirely free from errors, interruptions, incompatibilities or data loss.

The app is provided “as is.” To the extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for damage caused by incorrect input, misinterpretation, an export, or inappropriate use of the data.

7. Intellectual property

The code, interface, text, visual assets, logo and overall structure of Orienteering PE are protected by applicable intellectual property law. Unauthorized reproduction, extraction, distribution or reuse is prohibited.

8. Data deletion

Students, groups, cycles, sessions, leaderboards, and entries can be removed from the app whenever a deletion function is provided. Uninstalling the app removes access to local data, subject to any backup mechanisms provided by the device or operating system.

9. Changes and governing law

These Terms may be updated to reflect changes to the app, its features or the legal framework. The version published on this page is the current version.

These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the parties will first seek an amicable resolution.
